Protected from the westerly winds by the sub-Vosgian hills, the vines are located on the best slopes of Ammerschwihr, facing east/south-east. The soils are predominantly clay-limestone.
After an appropriate pressing in our pneumatic presses, each wine is vinified with the greatest care and then matured for several months on fine lees to gain in structure and reveal their finest aromatic expression.
"Les Caves de l'Enfer" wines are characteristic of their grape variety and representative of the "Alsace" appellation.
Les Caves de l'Enfer" AOC Alsace Gewurztraminer has a magnificent golden colour. The nose is charming with a beautiful aromatic intensity. A fruity wine, with the characteristic floral notes of rose and lychee on the palate, as well as hints of spice. Well-balanced, with good length.

Gewurztraminer is a fruity, aromatic white wine that is often served as an aperitif and goes wonderfully with Asian cuisine. It is perfect with Tandoori chicken or Peking duck. Ideal with soft cheeses, such as Munster or Maroille. It also goes well with desserts such as fruit tarts and chocolate desserts.
