Terroir of Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Mambourg

AOC Alsace Grand Cru Mambourg dominates the Sigolsheim hillside and covers 61.85 ha, facing due south and benefiting from optimum sunshine. Its marly-limestone soil produces highly distinctive, long-keeping wines.

Vinification of Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Mambourg

The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. The grapes are gently pressed and the juice is naturally clarified at low temperature. Fermentation is slow, and ageing on fine lees for a minimum of 9 months gives the wine the rich, intense and complex expression of the world's finest white wines.

Tasting notes of Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Mambourg

Its golden yellow color is reminiscent of the shimmering rays of the sun. Its exuberant bouquet, with notes of rose, then reveals scents of exotic fruits: lychee, ripe pineapple. Rich and racy on the palate, its perfect balance makes it a wine for laying down.

Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Mambourg is a generous, gourmet wine to be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or at the end of a meal. A perfect accompaniment to foie-gras, it's also ideal for spicy dishes such as Tandoori chicken, couscous or lamb tagine.
